Sundays are a joyful experience for children. They feel safe, they have fun and experience community and friendship. They feel able to be themselves, have confidence in who they are, who God has made them to be and are able to grow in their faith and their relationship with Jesus. We seek to facilitate an environment in which they can encounter Jesus and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
-
When you arrive at St. Mark’s head into the church and sign your kids in at the Kids Registration table in the main room, you should see a big kids check in sign and kids team volunteers who will be so happy to help your little ones get registered and settled!
-
We believe it’s important to have a regular space where the generations of the church can worship God together. We begin our Sunday mornings with a time of worship all together so once your little ones are registered, there will be opportunity for you to enjoy worship together as a family and you will be notified when our kids groups are open. At this point, please make your way downstairs to the kids rooms via the hub.
-
Our aim for every kids session is for our kids to encounter God through worship, prayer, and exploring the Bible, whilst having fun and making friends! Our sessions are generally made up of games, teaching time where we look at a particular bible story or theme, crafts and a time of prayer. We follow a similar format each week so that the children know what to expect but we also like to mix things up occasionally to keep our sessions fun filled and exciting! For example, we usually run a party or social one Sunday during half term.
-
Our kids sessions end promptly at 12pm. At this point in the service you will be reminded to go and collect your child and you should make your way downstairs to the kids rooms and join the collection queue. Please ensure you bring the ticket you were issued at registration when collecting your child.
-
For children Under 2 we have a dedicated creche space located in the hub for parents with young children, with lots of toys and things for them to do with the service live streamed.
-
We are committed to providing a safe environment for all our children, and so we ensure all of our leaders are DBS checked and have completed safeguarding training. You can also find our Safeguarding guidelines at the bottom of this page.
